nitru by som zajtra radsej vynechal, je tam vela nejasnosti ohladne zostav a riziko zasiahnutia do hry noveho amika v drese spisskej (aj ked by este nemal nastupit)

Five tips for better exchange betting

1 NEVER be afraid to request any price. It is a source of constant amazement what odds get matched, as recent events in the play-offs illustrate - Division One play-off winners Crystal Palace were backed at 970 and 1000. What is one man's idea of buying money is another's idea of an unbelievable lay. If you don't ask you don't get.
2 ALWAYS be on the ball when match markets are reopened. Some critics moan that the market takes too long to reform (in truth, the serious money is up there after about a minute) following a goal, but there can be great value amid the uncertainty. Most people would struggle to come up with a true price, and there can be some terrific backs and lays before the professionals help the market to settle.
3 NEVER be afraid to guarantee a no-lose book. All betting is littered with if-onlys, whether it's a late goal scuppering a superb bet or a horse getting pipped on the line. At the very worst consider closing out to cover your stake. Don't forget, as opposed to spreads, you pay barely any margin for covering your position. Most of Betfair's winners are traders, rather than out-and-out punters.
4 CROSS-reference the different markets. You can often look to play off one market against another and maybe collect on both. For example, if you have backed 'any unquoted' in Betfair's correct-score list and the score is 3-0, look to lay the winning team in the next goal market. If the other team scores, you have won your money on next goal, but if the winning team subsequently scores you have won twice. You can sometimes play off fixed-odds markets against exchanges as well. For instance last year, Blue Square offered 1-2 about Michael Owen scoring for England against Liechtenstein, while Betfair punters were happy to accept 1.37 about Owen beating the whole Liechtenstein team in a scorers match bet.
5 ALWAYS keep a keen eye on the outright market. While 90-minute matches are suspended, Betfair never close their outright markets and you can get some top value.
The trick is never to leave requests or offers at realistic prices at the current state of play, but rather to ask for or offer prices you would happily back or lay if there is a change in the scoreline. You will find it incredible how much punters can over-react to a goal being scored. |
